Abby Elliot is the first second-generation cast member on "Saturday Night Live". Her father is Chris Elliot who was featured on the show during the 1994-1995 season. She is also the granddaughter of veteran comic Bob Elliott from the "Bob and Ray Show".
Before coming to "Saturday Night Live", Elliot worked with current SNL cast member Michaela Watkins at LA's Groundling's Theater.
Since her arrival on SNL, she has skillfully portrayed Angelina Jolie, Chloe Sevigny and Joan Cusack.
Daughter of Chris Elliott and Paula Niedert Elliott. Sister of Bridey Elliott.
She is the first and only second-generation SNL cast member. Her father is Chris Elliott.
She is the youngest female cast member on SNL.
Has the unique distinction of being the third generation of performers to appear on Saturday Night Live. Her grandfather, Bob Elliott (of the comedy team Bob and Ray) appeared on Saturday Night Live show in December of '78 as well as a "Bob & Ray, Jane, Laraine & Gilda" in 1981 - essentially an episode of SNL featuring the three original female cast members of SNL and Bob & Ray. Her father, comedian 'Chris Elliott', was an SNL cast member during the '94-'95 season.
Has been in a relationship with SNL co-star Fred Armisen since September 2009. Armisen and his wife Elisabeth Moss filed for divorce a year later as a result.
